LAURA VIRKKALA, WOMEN’S WELLNESS COACH

Meet Your Wellness Coach, Laura Virkkala
Laura Virkkala is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Yoga Teacher and NLP Practitioner & Life Coach with a background in the corporate world and academia. Having experienced the pressures of a demanding corporate world herself, Laura understands how easy it is to put your own wellbeing last while juggling work, family and everyday life.
Laura’s holistic health and wellness journey began when she was diagnosed with Polyendocrine Ovarian Metabolic Syndrome (PMOS, formerly known as PCOS). Determined to restore her health naturally, she dived into the world of nutrition, hormone health and holistic wellbeing, eventually reversing her hormone disorder through nutrition and lifestyle changes.
Laura’s health came crashing down 10 years ago after prolonged toxic mould exposure, leaving her experiencing the state of burnout, chronic fatigue syndrome and ongoing exhaustion for many years. When she couldn’t find help through the medical system, she began exploring nutrition, gut health, detoxification, breathwork, cold water immersion, yoga, meditation, sleep optimisation and biohacking to support her recovery.
Through years of learning, personal experience and professional training, Laura transformed her health, recovered from the state of burnout, reversed PMOS, learned how to support her body naturally, also through perimenopause, and is now thriving and living her best life in her 40s.
Laura founded Aloraway Women’s Wellness Coaching to help other high-performing women who are struggling with hormonal changes, stress, burnout or low energy.
